Are your children or students having trouble with proper pencil grips?  Proper gripping, especially the tripod, is an important skill for kindergarten.  Oscar is here to help with a tip that will allow your little ones to perfect the tripod grip in no time.

First, clip a clothespin towards the tip of a marker.  Next, have your child grip the clothespin with the middle, ring, and pinky fingers.  Rest the thumb and pointer finger on top of the clothespin, with the tips of the finger touching the marker.

If the child is still having a hard time gripping, play around with the placement of the clothespin or add two tiny stickers to help child place fingers on the marker.
