Spring has sprung!

It’s that time of year again in New York City.

It’s amazing how a little bit of sun, flowers in bloom, and birds chirping can change the entire vibe of this beautiful city.  Families are out and about, and everyone seems to be just a bit more cheerful.  Next stop:  summer!

But we don’t want to sidestep spring and all the magic it has to offer.  Here are just a few options for this upcoming weekend.  We hear it’s going to be a beautiful one, so be sure to head out and take advantage of the sunshine.

New York Hall of Science Playground

Where:  Long Island City

When:  Opens at 10:00AM on weekends

Why:  Kids will have a blast playing and learning in equal measure!  With a focus mainly on physics, kids will experience the wonder of science through an entirely unique and playful lens.

Bronx Zoo

Where:  2300 Southern Boulevard – Bronx, NY 10460

When:  10:00AM – 5:30PM on weekends

Why:  Kids will love exploring the different ares and pens, visiting the animals as they go.  It’s a New York City staple, and perfect for a bright and sunny day.  It’s free for very little ones, and if you book online, you receive 10% for child and adult tickets!

Chelsea Piers

Where:  23rd Street & Hudson River Park

When:  Hours vary.  Check website for more information.

Why:  Chelsea Piers has seemingly endless options for kids and adults alike!  They offer semester programs, which are definitely worth looking into, but also have a variety of daily drop-in activities.  Bonus:  it’s right near the High Line, a perfect and scenic location for enjoying the outdoors.
